2024 CPL APPLICATION 

OER stands for Open Educational Resources, please review the prepared by Library Sherry Tinerella.

Please fill out the following form to apply for an OER grant in the 24-25 Academic year. There will be 5 sections. Section 1 is basic information, Section 2 is course information, Section 3 is resource information, Section 4 Project information and Section 5 is assurances and submitting.

Deadline: September 15,2024 by 5:00 P.M. CST

Stipend:

  • Reviewing- ($200) find OER books that you plan to evaluate for possible use in your class. Up to 5.
  • Adopting- ($1000) finding an existing OER textbook and replacing the current paid textbook and aligning it to your curriculum.
  • Adopting Plus - ($2000) taking an existing OER resource and creating shareable materials (ie.. testbanks, powerpoints, activities) in a shareable format. This could include filling in gaps that may be missing from the materials.
  • Adapting- ($2500) -taking an existing OER resources and editing it and making changes to it to better fit your course.

 This application is for funding to develop a Hyflex course. 

Hyflex is the combination of synchronous, asynchronous, and to face-to-face learning. It enables students to have a choice on how they would like to participate in the course. If you are not familiar with the Hyflex modality, please review this short . Fill out the following form to apply for a Hyflex grant in the 24-25 Academic year. 

Deadline: September 15,2024 by 5:00 P.M. CST

Stipend:

  • Applications will be accepted to convert or create a new course
  • F2F/Create new course to Hyflex:$4,000
  • F2F/Create new course to Online: $3,500
  • Online to Hyflex:$3,000

 

This application is to secure funding for undergraduate research.

Engaging in undergraduate research allows students to explore a topic that they are passionate about further. If you are not familiar with how to begin/conduct undergraduate research please review this short . 

Deadline: September 15, 2024 by 5:00 P.M. CST

Stipend: Up to a maximum of $2,000

CPL stands for Credit for Prior Learning. It is a way that you can give students credit for work that they have done in the past. This is often a test or a portfolio of work to show that they have achieved that learning.

CPL that is implemented can have a fee associated with it for its evaluation etc. which is set at the end of the process by working with the Registrar.

  • Update existing CPL mateirals-$250
  • Adopt a comprehensive written online exam-$250
  • Develop a comprehensive written or online exam-$1,000
  • Develop a skills-based exam-$1,000
  • Develop a portfolio assessment-$1,000
  • Develop other type of CPL assessment-$1,000
